Venturefest Yorkshire is one of the largest entrepreneurship and venture capital events in the UK. It is an bi-annual event, held in Yorkshire and Oxford, and attracts delegates and entrepreneurs from all over the globe.

The Brief
The University of York has run an entrepreneurship game for students from the 7 Yorkshire Universities since Venturefest Yorkshire began. In 2006, I was asked to provide a concept and design for a new game. VentureQuest was the result.

The Result
The concept of the game was simple. Each participating university would field a team of 6 students, who would be given £50 and 24 hours to come up with a product, service or concept to sell at the event. Each delegate at the event would receive a window envelope with the flier, explaining the game, and $10 of game money. The teams would then compete for the money the delegates held. The game was a massive hit, received excellent reviews and has been a feature at Venturefest ever since.
