The Client Major League Gaming teams: IS and C2G. These semi pro teams play a variety of online games and attend tournaments across the USA.
The Brief To create banner and logo graphics for the two sponsored teams. The banners would be displayed on the MLG tournament website as well as the team websites. The keywords used to descibe what they required included dark, gloomy, sick and evil.
The Result The teams loved them! Can't really say much else, they were approved and repeat work has been offered on the basis of these designs. The C2G design was quite a simple concept - Graveyard being implicit in the team name. Instant Suppression took on a few forms before the idea of a nuclear blast took root.

The Client Venturefest Yorkshire is one of the largest entrepreneurship and venture capital events in the UK. It is an bi-annual event, held in Yorkshire and Oxford, and attracts delegates and entrepreneurs from all over the globe.
The Brief The University of York has run an entrepreneurship game for students from the 7 Yorkshire Universities since Venturefest Yorkshire began. In 2006, I was asked to provide a concept and design for a new game. VentureQuest was the result.
The Result The concept of the game was simple. Each participating university would field a team of 6 students, who would be given £50 and 24 hours to come up with a product, service or concept to sell at the event. Each delegate at the event would receive a window envelope with the flier, explaining the game, and $10 of game money. The teams would then compete for the money the delegates held. The game was a massive hit, received excellent reviews and has been a feature at Venturefest ever since.

The Client The Centre for Enterprise at the University of York is one of 4 Government funded Centres for Excellence in Enterprise in the UK.
The Brief As a new facility, the CETLE required an event to raise it's profile on campus. The event must encourage entrepreneurial activity amongst the students, and enable the CETLE to start a contact database which could be used as a precursor to a student enterprise club.
The Result As it was the start of a new academic year, I suggested that we tap into the traditional past time for this period in the annual student cycle and run a beermat competiton. It could feed into the upcoming regional business plan competiton, and it would also generate a buzz about the cetle in an atmosphere which might encourage people to be creative. Beermats were distributed to all the campus bars, and some of the nearer pubs, and the response was excellent. This was the first in a series of competitions which led to the formation of the internationally recognised York Entrepreneurs Club.
